Cleaning Safely

These days, even everyday cars and light trucks have chrome or cast polished wheels that used to be found only on enthusiast vehicles. Cleaning them and keeping them looking new is quite a challenge. There is no particular secret to it, other than regular use of high quality car care products that are easy on your hands, your vehicle and the environment. Think about it - if you need rubber gloves to use a product on your car - do you really want it on your car...or even around your house, yard and family? That's why there are no harsh acids, alkalis or petroleum distillates in Michelin Wheel & Tire Care products. They are safe for use on all tire and wheel surfaces - even when inadvertently left on longer.

Here's how to keep those beautiful wheels and tires looking good.

After washing your vehicle, spray on Michelin Wheel & Tire Cleaner. Use a soft bristle brush to loosen brake dust and road grime from each wheel's nooks and crannies, and to remove oxidation from the tires. Then rinse and dry with a towel or chamois.

To dress up your tires and rubber or plastic trim after cleaning, spray on Michelin 3 in 1 Tire Shine. Its polymer formula conditions and protects, while it restores surface color. Use a soft cloth to even the coating and absorb excess, then shine it to a natural looking luster.

Finally, spray Michelin Brake Dust repellent on those clean wheels. Use a cloth or sponge to even the coating and absorb any excess. Regular use of this amazing product will keep brake dust and road grime from accumulating on the wheels and keep them clean looking longer. Plus, when you clean again, dust and dirt will slide right off. It is especially effective for sports and performance cars with big brakes and semi-metallic brake pads.
