How long should I leave Michelin Wheel & Tire Cleaner on my aluminum wheels after spraying it on?
Unlike some cleaners, it does not contain acid or alkaline ingredients. If you leave it on for a few extra minutes, it will not harm surfaces. Clean at your own pace – there’s no hurry and no worry.
Do I just spray the cleaner on and then rinse it off?
We recommend that you use a wheel and tire brush with soft bristles to loosen brake dust, grime and oxidation. All car care products require a little “elbow grease” to get the best results.
Will Michelin 3 in 1 Tire Shine damage my paint if I overspray?
No it will not. Its polymer based formula won’t stain or etch painted or clear plastic surfaces like some tire appearance products. It contains no petroleum distillates or combustible ingredients, and works on all brands of tires.
Does 3 in 1 Tire Shine make tires glossy black?
If you mean the “painted on” look that some products offer, no it does not. It restores surface color and provides a rich, natural looking luster, while providing protection against ultraviolet rays and ozone.
How often should I use 3 in 1 Tire Shine on my tires and trim?
For consistent color and luster, use it once a week. If your car care is more occasional, use it after each car wash.
It seems like my European sports sedan has black brake dust on its front wheels all the time. Will Michelin Brake Dust Repellant help that?
Many performance disc brake systems rely on semi-metallic pads that offer great braking, but throw off lots of unsightly dust. Using the repellant on a regular basis will provide a significant reduction in the accumulation of this dust on the aluminum wheels. It also makes periodic wheel cleaning much easier. If left on wheels, the dust can potentially acidify and etch metal surfaces.
